The main character notices that their soft toy never gets a bedtime story, and decides to read to him. The story they invent is about a bear who has lost something, and while it is being told it more or less starts happening. Every time it is nearly finished the bear wants a bit more. In the end they both fall asleep halfway through a sentence.
The names you fill in run through the whole book, and with a photo the illustrations really look like the people in it. You choose the illustration style yourself.
