Your child as a real picture-book character
We do not paste a photo into the scene. Your child is drawn with the same ink lines and watercolour as everyone else in the crowd, so they blend in and have to be found by their face, hair and clothes. You approve this drawing before anything else is made.
Six more things to find on every page
At the bottom of every spread is a search strip with six small pictures cut straight from the scene itself: a red kite, a sleeping cat, a lost shoe. Everything in the strip really is somewhere in the picture, so every hunt can be won.
Hidden somewhere else every time
Far away in the crowd, behind a fence, up in a tree: your child turns up in a different spot and at a different distance on every page.
Scenes about what they love
Diggers, dinosaurs, horses, the seaside: every spread is built around one of your child's own interests, so every page feels like theirs.
Their name in the title
Every spread has a hand-lettered title with the question to find your child by name, and the cover carries their name too.
With a brother or sister
Hide two children in the same book. They are placed far apart, so there are two faces to find on every spread.

Questions about the seek-and-find book
How do you put my child into the pictures? v
You upload one clear photo. We first draw your child once as a character in the style of the book, and you approve that drawing. That same drawing is then hidden on all eleven spreads, so your child looks the same on every page and fits in with the rest of the crowd.
What if the drawing does not look like my child? v
You see the drawing before we make the book. If the hair colour, glasses or anything else is off, write what should change and we draw it again. Only when you approve it do we draw the eleven spreads.
What are the scenes about? v
You tell us what your child loves, for example diggers, horses, the seaside or baking. Every spread is built around one of those interests. Before you approve you can see the eleven scene titles and change any scene to something else.
Can I hide two children in the same book? v
Yes. Add a brother, sister or friend with their own photo. Both are hidden on every spread, far apart from each other, so there are two children to find on each page.
For what age is a seek-and-find book? v
It works best from about two to eight years old. Toddlers love pointing out their own face; older children race to find everything in the search strip at the bottom of each page.
How long does it take? v
The drawing of your child is ready in about two minutes. After you approve it, drawing the eleven spreads takes around forty minutes; we email you as soon as the book is ready to view. After ordering, the hardcover is printed and delivered in about a week.
What does it cost? v
A seek-and-find book costs the same as our other books. You see the complete book on screen first and only pay when you order it as a printed hardcover.
Can I change something after the book is made? v
The pages of a seek-and-find book cannot be edited with the buttons you know from our story books. Send us a message with what you would like changed, and we will look at it with you.
