Why a book belongs in the basket
An Easter basket is empty by the evening of Easter Monday. That is fine, because that is what chocolate is for. But there is usually nothing in the basket that will still be there next year, which makes Easter the one spring festival that leaves nothing behind.
A book does the opposite. The child is in it by name, and the Easter Bunny is not a figure from an advert but someone they solved a problem with that morning. That is the difference between a present that gets eaten and a present that gets read aloud.
The storylines below are deliberately about the morning itself: the garden, the hunt, the basket, the grass still wet with dew. Not the church story of Easter, which is a different book for a different moment. If that is what you are after, a christening or First Communion book fits better.

When is Easter?
Easter moves every year: Easter Sunday falls on the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring, somewhere between 22 March and 25 April. Check this year's date before you count back for delivery.
What age is it for?
The stories work from about two to eight. For the youngest you read aloud and the pictures matter most; from about six children read it themselves, and what counts then is seeing their own name on the page.
Is it about the Easter story from the Bible?
No. These stories are about Easter morning at home: eggs, the garden, the hare. If you want a book around faith, look at the christening book or the First Communion book.
How quickly does it arrive?
